We have just returned home from staying three nights in this beautifully appointed home away from home on the lake in Daylesford, close to town and a few minutes walk from the boathouse cafe. We found the beds comfortable and all the furnishings and linnen of quality. We felt the whole house was carefully cocidered, especially as it has three seperate living areas , which made relaxing in the sitting room out on the deck or in the kitchen/living easy without being on top of each other . When the water sparkles, light reflects off the lake and into the dining area, the house is a gem and a delight to stay in . I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Mim, March 13, 2017

I planned a relaxing weekend away with my family and relaxing it was! Very clean and homely, didn't feel the need to leave the house it was that comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break here. It has everything you need and more. Our kids loved the proximity to the lake and walks. Our host was very helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

We stayed at Waterside Cottage for two nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cottage is warm, comfortable, full of character and the view over Lake Daylesford is hard to beat. The basket of goodies and a kitchen with all the essentials made our stay enjoyable and cooking easy. We enjoyed walks around the lake, which is accessible through the back gate, and our small son had a great time running around in the garden and on the deck to the rear of the cottage. It is hard to believe the peace and quiet given that it is only a 10 minutes walk from the main street of Daylesford. We can definitely recommend a stay at Waterside Cottage and hope to return ourselves..

Fabulous property with every attention to detail. So clean and comfortable, with all mod cons provided. Gorgeous views across the lake, idyllic location with fabulous walks. Convenient distance to town centre and attractions. Hosts Tony & Jenny have spared no expense to provide a an amazing experience for guests, looking forward to another stay!

Waterside Cottage was the perfect location for our needs. The cottage had all the facilities that one would expect, and more. It was lovely to wake up in the morning, walk out the back door and do a circuit of the lake before breakfast at the Boathouse Café (only 2 mins walk). We would certainly recommend this property to anyone else (and already have ....to the airline check-in staff prior to our flight home).

A very enjoyable stay, the cottage was lovely, the beds cosy and the view of the lake peaceful. Everything was thought of for a weekend away in the cottage and the surrounds were gorgeous.

We stayed 4 nights at this wonderfully presented property with all the comforts imaginable. The little extra goodies provided added that special touch. The view to the lake is so relaxing and the position is quiet and handy to all the best Daylesford has to offer. We would definitely recommend Waterside Cottage and would love to stay again.

This cottage is Devine. 3 bedrooms all beautifully decorated. Great kitchen. 2 living spaces. Great view of the lake from the deck. Room to park several cars. Friendly owner. Really nothing to fault, would stay here again !

What a dream! My mother and I truly enjoyed our week long stay at this beautiful cottage. We felt quite welcomed and enjoyed the delights of this stylish little home. We especially loved being able to walk out the back door and walk around the lake. Thanks to Paul for easy communication and hospitality. Can't wait to return in the new year.

This lovely, well appointed and beautifully decorated cottage on the quiet side of the lake is cosy, comfy, inviting and very clean. They say it's the little things in life that count and this cottage is full of them. We walked in the door after a long drive to find the heating had been turned on for us which was so welcoming, then discovered the basket of goodies, a well stocked pantry, gorgeous linen and towels, divine hand-wash and to top it off, candles and a scented oil burner. The modern extension blends in beautifully with the original part of the cottage, extending out to a large deck that overlooks the lake. So happy we chose Daylesford as a destination for a little getaway and delighted Waterside Cottage was our choice for accommodation. A big thank you to Tony and Jenny not only for sharing your beautiful cottage but also for making the booking process easy and smooth. We really appreciated Tony's genuine care to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. Will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage in Daylesford. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and decorated and has everything you need to feel at home during your stay. The location next to the lake is fantastic, it was wonderful to walk out of the back gate and stroll around the lake, and enjoy the view of the lake from the back deck. The beds are super comfortable and our 3 year old loved the games and toys in the children's bedroom. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to come back again!

Stayed with 3 girlfriends for a weekend getaway and we couldn't have been happier with this gorgeous accomodation! The amenities, location and warmth of this cottage is perfect. We utilised the sunny deck a lot and ventured out the back gate each morning for a walk around the lake. Our beds were sooo comfortable and the beautifu linen was very special. This place has everything you could want for a fab getaway to Daylesford. Thankyou to our host Tony who was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

A great place to stay, spacious, well appointed, picturesque and a homely feel as soon as you walked in. Arriving late afternoon, the heating was on and we could immediately relax. Already planning a return vist!

We loved our stay at the cottage! It was a quaint period home with all modern features and everything you could possibly need. Great picturesque location on the lake and an easy stroll into town. We stayed here for the long weekend and the location was just amazing. The view during the day was stunning and the walk to the lake was too easy, on your doorstep! It was especially beautiful at night with the full moon shining on the lake. The quality of the linen was just lovely and same with the crockery and decor, very luxurious. Toddlers love the little staircase down to the lounge but as discussed with Tony, a baby gate would solve their need to explore them. A really lovely place to stay!

Had a lovely time at Waterside Cottage. The light and sunny lounge room and huge deck both have glorious views of the lake. At night the stars and twinkling lights from other cottages are oh so pretty. Owners were very accommodating - we enjoyed an early check in and late check out.
